October in Indy is always beautiful, and we were able to take full advantage of the weather through fall school activities, fall break, and Halloween! I had a blast going with Hannah on her Kindergarten field trip to a pumpkin patch, even after making a detour to the wrong pumpkin patch (the trials and tribulations of my crazy schedule). She and her friend Ava were inseparable, and we learned a lot too about the farming process!

Meanwhile, at Allisonville, I met Moira for lunch on her birthday, and we had a great time with her friends, Parker and Maya. Moira's second grade year was off to a great start--she had lots of fun in Mrs. Miller's class, loved working on projects, and was quite the social butterfly at school.

Later on in the month, we went to the Children's Museum's annual Haunted House, the Haunted Castle, and celebrated with the witches at a breakfast party beforehand. Aunt Marilyn and Grandma joined us for all of the fun festivities.

We had a great time with a quick visit to the IMA with Aunt Marilyn, the girls and the twins as well.

| Beautiful October day |
Carrying on with our Halloween adventures, we made it to the Irvington Halloween festival on a beautiful, warm October day. I will forever remember the girls proudly walking in the parade with Fletcher and the Elis, and Moira jousting in a big bouncy castle. The girls also loved showing off their cousins, decked out in cute baby Star Wars gear. We also walked to Grandma and Grandpa's favorite breakfast spot (although we went for lunch/dinner, I guess) at Rockola. It was a fun day.

Last but not least, we celebrated Halloween at the trunk or treat at St. Pius, a chili cook-off party in our neighborhood, and we also managed to do Halloween with our friends the Charltons as well! And just for good measure, the girls dressed up right after Halloween as saints for All Saints Day (both dressed up as St. Cecilia, the patron saint of music). There's never a dull moment!
