Last September, we found ourselves busy as usual getting back into the swing of things with school activities. This includes Moira and Hannah going back to their gymnastics classes. Moira loves it and has moved to intermediate tumbling. She spends most of her time in and out of the gym doing as many cartwheels and handstands as humanly possible and only occasionally running into furniture or people (sigh!). Hannah likes it too, but as usual, she takes her time acclimating to activities.
Right after getting into the swing of things, we took a break from school and had a fun Labor Day weekend in Indy. We hung out with cousins (Cecilia in the bath), had one more round of corn on the cob, took a trip to the Children's museum, and hit the pool with the Charltons. There's never a dull moment, as I like to say!
Shortly after Labor Day, we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary with a little fanfare from our children. Because of all of the traveling we had done to Europe, we chose a quiet staycation and stayed downtown at the Alexander Hotel overnight. We had a lovely time and even did a short bike ride along the cultural trail to brunch at Milktooth and then back to White River State Park (one of our favorite locations in the city) before heading back to our girls.
The rest of September was filled with activities like a brownie day at Camp Dellwood for Moira and her brownie friends, a fun parish picnic where the girls were able to ride ponies at the Knights of Columbus, a trip to the library for lego robot building, and a visit from the Rogers family who were in town for a wedding. We had a sleepover for Natalie, Daniel and Meredith's daughter, and the girls had a great time!
