'Tis the Season
It has become a tradition in our family to buy a live Christmas tree to decorate. In previous years, Alan has taken care of finding the tree, but this year we decided to take the Eli family's recommendation to go to the Blind School where they sell Christmas trees as a fundraiser. We had a great time finding the right tree, meeting up with Santa Claus, and playing with the Eli family.
The Children's Museum invited us to a special holiday party where we were able to sit with yet another Santa Claus and celebrate with other families who send their children to the same preschool.
Later that same weekend, we put the finishing touches on our Christmas tree, and Alan helped Moira crown the top of the tree with an angel.
We also celebrated Alan's birthday on December 11th. The girls made him cards, and he loved his gifts, especially the white noise maker, but not quite as much as Hannah loved the electronic drumsticks that she bought for him!
Last but certainly not least, we were also invited by the Children's Museum preschool to attend a Lilly Theater holiday production called the Magic Snowman. It was a great deal of fun with the girls, and it gave us a nice reminder about the holidays and the importance of not letting the small things get to you.
