The girls were very excited for Valentine's Day this year. They made Valentine's Day cards for us and for each other, and they both made their own valentines to give out to their classmates. On Friday, I captured Hannah with the card she had made for me, and I met Moira at her school and helped with her class party. It's so much fun to watch Moira interact with all of her classmates. She's had a pretty good Kindergarten year so far.

That evening, we went over to Grandma's, and she had a special treat for the girls as well.
The next morning when they woke up at our house, we had our own cards waiting for the girls. We also asked them what they wanted to do to celebrate Valentine's Day (since it fell on a Saturday), and they managed to convince their dad that we should all take a trip to the Children's Museum. Moira doesn't get to go as much anymore. Even though we knew it would be very busy on a Saturday, we braved the crowds and managed to have a lovely time with our "little family," as Moira likes to say.

Everyone got to choose an exhibit. Hannah's favorite is the "Fireworks of Glass" exhibit where she gets to build glass sculptures. Moira's favorite is the "Carousel of Dreams." Enough said. I chose the "Inside Film and TV" exhibit, where the girls experimented with animation, voiceovers, working behind-the-scenes as directors and camerapeople, and "hosting" a talk show. I also love the photo of Moira and Alan on The Simpsons iconic couch. And last but not least, Alan chose the dinosaur exhibit, where the girls always have a lot of fun. It was a memorable Valentine's Day weekend.
