Winter 2015: Playing in the Snow

This winter wasn't nearly as cold and snowy as last winter, but there were still numerous occasions to go outside and play in the snow. We found out that our back garden is perfect for making snowmen, chasing each other with snowballs, and even swinging in full snowsuits! We had lots and lots of adventures with our "big" family, as Moira likes to call them. Credit goes once again to Uncle Scott for some of the excellent snowy shots he took of our family.

She helped them build a snowman

Although the snow was powdery and so the snowman was quite tiny!

Aunt Kate built bigger snowmen on a different day

And threw snowballs

Proud of their snow people!

At the very end of Winter 2015, we had a perfect day for sledding, so we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We all went out on the same sled and hill that Aunt Kate and I would often sled on when we were children. The most delightful part of it all in my mind is that everyone in our "big" family took a turn going down the hill, even Grandma and Grandpa (together!). Both Moira and Hannah loved sledding and didn't want to leave.

Moira loving it on her own!

Pure excitement!

Hannah and I--there was so much snow!

Love this picture of the golf course
