Disneyland!

After much deliberation, we decided to do one day at Disneyland with our entire family! Moira went to Disney World when she was 3, and Hannah had never been. The Luken kids are old pros at Disneyland, so they helped to guide us around the park! It was a great (and exhausting) day. My favorite quote from Alan in the late afternoon was "Disneyland would be fantastic if no one else were in the park. But this is chaos!" It was a very busy day in the park, but everyone seemed to have a pretty good time despite the crowds.

Our strategy was to go on rides where there were not super long lines. David and Marianne managed to get "Frozen" tickets for us before the park opened up to the general public, so we started off on simple rides like the carousel, Dumbo, and the tea cups.

Then we all headed to ToonTown, and Hannah road her first roller coaster (which she loved!). Moira said she was scared but then proceeded to ride on much more exciting rides (Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain) as the day went on. Moira's highlight was meeting Minnie Mouse with Emma.

One of my mom's favorite rides is "It's a Small World," and the girls loved this ride. I think that Hannah rode it multiple times. It was a nice cool break from an otherwise surprisingly hot fall day in California. We also rode the Winnie the Pooh ride (which Hannah did not get to ride because it literally broke down with her on it later on in the day) and the older girls went on Thunder Mountain together too. Moira loved this roller coaster!

We had a late lunch at a barbecue place that came complete with singing and a parade for the kiddos.

A highlight of the day was meeting the Frozen princesses, Elsa and Anna (of course). Even Aunt Marianne got her picture taken with the princesses

As the day wore on, we managed to do the Haunted Mansion ride as well. The girls were a bit skeptical, but this is one of my favorite rides, so I was glad that we all had the chance to participate.

After the Haunted Mansion, we rode on Splash Mountain. You can't see, but Moira is sitting next to me, and she absolutely loved this ride. Poor Aunt Marianne and Clare got soaked, so we had to help them find a change of clothes afterwards.

We ended the day in TomorrowLand. Imagine the grandmas, Hannah, and I going on the Buzz Lightyear ride and trying to shoot at things...it was remarkably unsuccessful. Everyone else went on the Star Wars ride and had a good time, I think!

All in all, it was a great day in Disneyland. I must admit, I'm kinda exhaunsted just remembering how much we crammed into that one day!
