This year, we decided not to enroll our girls in anything in the summer other than swimming lessons. Why? Since we planned to spend the majority of July in England visiting Alan's family, it just didn't make much sense. Thus, Alan and the girls spent many mornings at the playground, Children's Musuem, or the zoo. While we have no photos from those excursions, I managed to snap a couple when we took a walk to Steak 'n Shake with Grandma and Grandpa, and Uncle Scott took a lot of amazing photos when we all hung out at the bowling alley (first time for the girls).

On most weekends, Uncle Scott and Aunt Kate normally come over to our house, help us fix something or design something, and then we have dinner together. On this particular weekend, we decided that we wanted to take them out instead of asking them to do more work, so we all went bowling. It was the first time at a bowling alley for the girls (we'd been duckpin bowling once before). Bowling isn't really my thing, but bowling alleys have come a long way, and we had so much fun.
