Hannah's 3rd Birthday Party

It is so hard for me to believe that Hannah is already three years old! She is growing up so fast, and her personality is shining through strongly. She is simultaneously curious, independent, feisty, and adorable. We love her more every day and wonder how it's possible that someone so small can fill up so much of our hearts.

For her third birthday, we decided to have a few friends over to the house to jump in the bouncy castle, play outside with bubbles, and of course eat cake. This year, the girls helped me with the decorations, as you can see below.

After everyone bounced around in the bouncy castle for a while, we went inside for cake and ice cream. Hannah's friends who came to her party included Julian and Fletcher (Sarah and Dave), Gus and Ava (Monica and Chip), Claire and Jack (Emily and Dave), and Sylvie (not in this picture--Natalie and Andrew).

Hannah is really into cats right now, and she asked Aunt Kate for a ballerina kitty. Somehow, Aunt Kate always pulls off amazing cakes!

After cake and ice cream, the kiddos went outside to play with bubbles. Uncle Scott caught some fantastic photos of the children in action all throughout the day, including in the photos below!

Then we went back inside to open presents, and Hannah had a lovely time unwrapping all of her gifts. All of her friends were so generous, but in the end, I think that one of her favorite presents was the "make-your-own-bouncy-ball kit." You can see Aunt Kate below working with Hannah to make a bouncy ball successfully. It was pretty cool.

Last, but certainly not least, I had to include this photo of Hannah below where she's looking very serious at the end of the day. She's such a thoughtful little girl, and she had had a very long and somewhat overwhelming day by the time everyone left. This was right before she went up to take her bath and get ready for bed. Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl.
