Easter Egg Hunt Part 2 (of 3)

One of the many reasons why I tend to lag behind real time on our blog is because we're taking more and more videos, which compels me to spend more and more time making mini-movies. One such movie capturing all of our Easter egg hunting activities is available below or here for those of you who are reading this post via email. In the end, it's totally worth it, though, because these videos show so much more of the girls' burgeoning personalities.

Our second Easter egg hunting adventure occurred in grandma and grandpa's back yard with Clare and Joe, who came in for a whirlwind weekend visit all the way from Phoenix. Moira and Hannah have so much fun when their cousins are in town, no matter how short the visit, and they certainly made the most of their time that day. The race to find the Easter eggs was over in a matter of minutes, and then everyone enjoyed sitting outside and opening all of the eggs to see what they had found. Once again, Uncle Scott did a fabulous job of capturing the best moments of the hunt.

When it was just about to go inside to have dinner, Hannah became upset. She loves being outside and didn't want to go inside. She was terribly grumpy as evidenced by the two photos shown below.

Clare's birthday was just a few days earlier, so we were excited that we could have an impromptu celebration over dinner. It's hard to believe that Clare is already 8 years old! She's such a delightful girl. She doesn't seem to give up on anything. One great example is that she wouldn't quit cajoling Hannah out of her grumpiness and convincing her to play other games (as you can see below).

Dave, Marianne, Joe and Clare were in town with us for around 5 hours in total, but we really did make the most of it. Can't wait until we see them again!
