New Year's Fun

New Year's 2013 was one of the better New Year's Eve celebrations I can remember. We had the Hamilton-Lowes (minus Hadley) and the Elis (with Fletcher and Julian) over to our house. Plans were made on the fly, and Daniel and Angie agreed to make delicious chicken parmesan while we worked to get our children in bed. We had a late dinner because it took a long time to settle the kiddos, but the conversation was great. Before we knew it, midnight had come and a New Year had begun. Nothing beats an impromptu New Year's Eve celebration with old friends in the comfort of our new home.

The next day everyone returned so that the kids could play on New Year's day. Hadley was present this time, and Moira, Hadley, and Julian had a fantastic time playing together (as you can see below). Hannah is getting to the point where she is old enough to play along too, and we were excited to see Fletcher looking so happy and healthy. Angie managed to capture a couple of good pictures of all of the kiddos. I'll never forget the photo shoot because Fletcher almost rolled out of Julian's arms. Somehow Sarah caught Fletcher (thank goodness) at the very last moment.

Pretending to be babies? I honestly can't remember what they were doing!

The weekend after New Year's, we took down all of our Christmas decorations. Below are the last photos of Moira and Hannah as it relates to Christmas 2013. Putting away all of our decorations was bittersweet as we created lots of amazing memories in our new home. More to come soon on the crazy winter that we have had to kick off 2014.
