Wow. This summer has been an unusually busy one for us! Since July 4th, we've bought a new home and sold our old home (this is the primary thing that has consumed our world), weathered many changes at my office that have led to longer hours, survived minor dental surgery and strep throat, started preschool very early in August, and more! I have many, many stories to share about just the last six weeks of our lives...so let's get started!
July 4th was a quiet day in our household. Moira wanted to have a "picnic to celebrate America's birthday," so we made it happen at Holliday Park.

| Moira picked the red tree under which to have our picnic. |
| Hannah waving "hello." She's growing up so fast! |
| Running through the park! |
We walked all the way to the playground and stopped at "The Ruins" where Moira and Hannah attempted to pose for a couple of pictures but spent most of the time running back and forth between the giant pieces of limestone!
And then we spent a bit of time at the fabulous playground of Holliday Park. It's my favorite playground by far because it has something for every child, no matter the age (and for grown-ups too!). The girls have so much fun at the playground that it's hard to get them to go home!

| Spider web bouncy fun |
| I think Alan enjoyed this one too! |
| Moira was very proud of herself for going to the highest slide and sliding down. |
| Rock hopping |
| Moira's rock climbing "castle" |
| Monkey see, monkey do--in another "castle." |
It was a beautiful day, and we had a great time celebrating "America's birthday." Moira confirmed it on the way home by asking us "Can we celebrate America's birthday again tomorrow?" Too cute.
