After arriving home from D.C. just in time to see the girls before they went to bed, we all arose the very next morning and headed to the 500 Festival Parade. This event has become a fun tradition in our family, and this year was particularly exciting because the weather was amazing (cool and comfortable) and Kathryn's family was in from Austin.
We went to our usual spot right by a big green space where the kids could play. And then we waited for about an hour for the parade to start!

To let the kiddos burn off some energy, we went toward the American Legion Mall area, and they all had the best time playing together and chasing after one another. Evan was especially sweet with Hannah, and they all had fun looking at the balloons.

Finally, the parade began, and it kicked off with the traditional police motorcyclists. Some of the other highlights are below!

| Star Wars (it's an exhibit at the Indiana State Museum right now) |

| Hannah was so intrigued. I can't believe that two years ago she was an infant sleeping through the parade! |

We left a little bit early because Hannah was so tired, but all in all, it was a fun day!
