Just a few months after visiting Norfolk and Williamsburg for a conference, we found ourselves heading back to the same area for a different conference where I was presenting. We decided on this trip to stop off in West Virginia to visit our family on my dad's side (we saw them last at the wedding in June). It was a quick visit, but Aunt Peggy was the perfect host. We had a great time going on another ride around the golf course. The girls loved it.

After our brief stay in West Virginia, we got back on the road to Richmond. We decided to stop off at The Greenbrier Resort because...well, because Aunt Peggy recommended it, and we'd never been before. We had a lovely lunch, and the girls walked all over the resort before we got back on the road to head into Williamsburg. The decor in the Greenbrier was pretty interesting, to say the least. I loved the shots of the girls with the resort in the background as the sun was starting to set.

After a long trip, we finally arrived in Williamsburg at my aunt's house. Aunt Jean is also an amazing host, and she had dinner waiting for us. The next morning, we played around the house and went to lunch before Alan and I departed for my conference in Richmond. The girls stayed behind with their grandma and couldn't wait until all of the cousins arrived.

On Saturday, Moira and Ryan celebrated their birthdays (two years apart by one day--just like their mothers). We started off at Chick-Fil-A and then moved to Richard and Betty's house. Moira can't get enough of celebrating her birthday--as you will see below.
