Christmas Delight!

On Christmas Eve morning, Moira and Hannah woke up, and we called Nan, Grandad, and Uncle Gav in England. We opened all of the prezzies from our family in England. Moira had the best time opening gifts this year. Every time she opened a present, she would gasp with excitement. It was very cute. And Hannah was fascinated with all the boxes and tissue paper. She loved crinkling the tissue paper.

Daddy was more excited about the book than Moira!
After a leisurely morning at home playing with the new sticker books, Mandy and Monty (the little girl and dog in the picture above), and all the other gifts, we all got ready for the Christmas Eve mass and my parents' party at their house. Moira had a great time singing all of the carols at church, and she had fun playing with her little friend, Connor, after mass. But she didn't take a nap, so she was very tired by the end of church and then fell asleep on the 2-minute drive from church to my parents' house! Needless to say, she was up late on Christmas Eve as a result.

With Grandma and Grandpa
On Christmas morning, we all slept in (due to the late night at Grandma and Grandpa's). When Moira woke up, she was pretty excited to see the presents Santa had left for her. What I appreciated so much is how excited she was about each and every gift she received. After opening presents at home and playing a bit, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for a late breakfast.

Playing with their toys!
It has become a bit of a tradition to celebrate our breakfast with Christmas crackers, an English tradition. You pull on the cracker, and after a 'pop', you open up the cracker, tell a joke, and put on the crown. Hannah and Moira were adorable. Moira is very much into doing everything by herself (getting dressed, brushing her teeth, brushing her hair, etc.), so her crown placement she did all by herself.

Kate and Scott--look how competitive they are!
My parents, sister, and brother-in-law are all very big bikers. I enjoy bike riding too, but I haven't done it much since I had the girls. So, I was very excited to get a bike trailer that they both will be able to ride in this summer! It will be so much fun. And they both loved being in the bike trailer on Christmas morning!

Oh, and it was my birthday too! Kate surprised me with one of her cakes, and Alan and I went to Benihana's for my first restaurant experience on my actual birthday. It was a very memorable birthday for me to be with my husband, my two beautiful girls, and my parents.
