Happy (belated) New Year!

Moira went to her first official New Year's celebration at the State Museum with mom, dad, Hadley, Angie, Daniel, and his grandma. It was packed! They had all sorts of entertainment--stiltwalking jugglers, the Celebration Crossing train, noisemakers and cool hats, and you could walk around the museum too. It all culminates in a balloon drop at 8pm. The kids had a pretty good time, though I think they were a little bit young. And we appreciated getting back to the house at a reasonable hour, especially since Moira was under the weather. We thought we might stay up until midnight, but we called it a night at about 10pm! Still, it was a fun way to ring in the New Year.

Daddy and Moira at the start of the evening.

Waiting to ride on the train.

Moira threw a fit when the train ride was over. Yea for 2-year-olds!
Fortunately, she recovered when she found the canoe that rocked back and forth!

People gathering for the balloon drop!

Countdown to the "New Year!" It was very crowded.

After the fact--the kids are ready to go home!
