Christmas Festivities with a 2-year-old

I know Christmas happened almost a month ago, but life has been very busy. All of us in the Mackintosh family have been sick, and I was sick for what seemed like a decade but was really only a month. Fortunately, we are all back to being healthy again. And the sickness didn't really slow down the Christmas activities.

We went to St. Louis to see my family and to celebrate my Uncle Jeff's life (he passed away on December 16th). It was a bittersweet time, but it was so good to be around our family. Little ones have a way of brightening everyone's day, and Connor, Maddie, and Moira did just that.

Yummy dinner!

One of the beautiful things about Christmas is that all of my old friends come into town. We had a gathering at my mom's house with most of my high school friends (minus Sarah) and their parents. It was really just a kidfest in my mom's basement--complete chaos with six children under 4! Of course, none of those photos came out, but here are some other fun photos of the evergrowing clan.

We're only missing Sarah!
Christmas Eve is quite the tradition in my parents' household. We go to church in the evening and then my parents invite all of their friends and families back to the house for a Christmas Eve party. We've been doing this for as long as I can remember, and it is such a fun tradition. Moira was very funny at mass. My mom takes her every Tuesday, and she is used to seeing a certain priest. When he wasn't there to say the mass that evening, all she kept shouting out is "Where is Father Paul?" Fortunately, she was entertained by the beautiful music, some children sitting behind us, and Aunt Kate and Uncle Sock.
