Moira's Actual Birthday (and more)

Moira turned 2 on October 14th. Don't you love the picture Uncle Gav took of her above?! Anyway,  I took the day off from work, and we went to Waterman's Farm and Pumpkin Patch to celebrate. Moira was in a funny mood that day. I don't know if we left too late in the morning or what, but she was definitely crabby. Nonetheless, she hasn't stopped talking about the pumpkin patch since!

Uncle Gav managed to get loads of cute pictures, despite Moira's mood. Here's a great example, though, of her temperament on that day. We got on the hayride, and she was happy (clearly fascinated by the hay, as you will note below). Unfortunately, I think Moira thought the hayride was only for us. So, when we had to move so others could get on, she threw a fit because she liked her spot.  Then, when it was time to get off the hayride to find a pumpkin, she was upset. Then, while we were going back to the main part of the farm after getting our pumpkin, she would alternate from being frustrated to being okay. All over the course of about 15 minutes. It was amusing (not really that stressful because what are you going to do--she's two!). Then, when we got off the hayride for good, she was so upset that it was all over that I had to sit down with her and calm her down for 5-10 minutes while Uncle Gav took the pumpkin to the car.

You may be asking, why isn't Moira crying in the pictures below my description above. Well, the reality is that her mouth is full of those cheddar fish snacks that she loves. I'm not going to lie ;)

Once she settled down after the hayride meltdown, we had fun in the little "spin the pumpkin" ride. She loved it so much that (surprise, surprise) she cried when she had to get off. We're all about distraction these days, so after the pumpkin ride we fed the farm animals, which she loved.

She was so intrigued with the "pumpkin-eating" dinosaur. She kept saying she wanted to go see the dinosaur again and again. So, we finally went over to watch the dinosaur crush pumpkins, and Moira decided she found the dinosaur very frightening. She buried her head in my shoulder, and I looked at Alan and said, let's call it a day!

Uncle Gav stayed with us for around three weeks, and below you will find some other fun pictures of Moira that he captured while at  Holliday park, the Children's Museum, gymnastics, the playground, and White River State park. We all miss him a lot!
